Sandy Mckibben - Katherine was a wonderful lady . My mother was her Avon lady for years .I would go with her to deliver Katherine her Avon order. She would always talk and Chet and i would talk while she placed her order with my mom. Katherine was truly the most kind hearted lady i know. I no longer live in Muncie, but i still occasionally would ask my mom often how Katherine was doing. I will always remember how kind hearted her and Chet both were. I can truly say she will be sadly missed!

Laura Hansen Dean - I was sorry to learn of Katherine's passing. I so enjoyed working with her on the Riley-Jones Club and Altrusa during my years at the Ball State University Foundation. She was such a caring person and hard worker. She will be missed.

Janet Applegate - My mother, Gertrude Applegate, was a classmate at IU. She considered Katherine one of her great friends and the past few years I took my Mother to Elmcroft to visit. I had hoped to take her again this summer, and I am sorry I could not take her in time for one more visit. I enjoyed meeting her. My Mother will be saddened to lose her friend.

Jane White - To the family of Katherine Brown, Katherine was a wonderful lady, as you well know, and will be missed by so many, more than you will ever know. She was active so many years in the Muncie Altrusa Club and we all would ask her advise. She always had a beautiful smile for each of us and never an unkind word. We will miss her dearly, and each of you are in our hearts and prayers. This message is from the Altrusa Club and as well as myself Altrusa love, Jane White

Kathy Stellwag - I knew her as Mrs. Brown. She was the first one I had met when I went in for an Interview at what was then called the Main Library. I Loved and Liked her a whole lot! I also Loved her Laugh! I will always remember her Positive attitude and friendly manner! I'm sorry now that I didn't get to really tell her just how much she had meant to me. But I had learned and appreciated how much that I had meant to her thru her husband.

Tara Richards - To Katherine Brown's family, she was an amazing woman. I only knew her a few short months while I did my internship at Elmcroft but in those few months she always lit up my day. Everytime I would come in she would be waiting right in that dining room with a smile, and everyday before I left I would go in there too tell her bye. I miss her so much already and my prayers go out too all of you, especially the people who didn't know her because she was a blessing. Thank you for sharing her with me. Sincerely, Tara

Glenda Barry - Katherine hired me at the Muncie Public Library in 1975, when I was raising 2 children alone and needed a job desperately. She always encouraged me in many ways and was a kind and loving person. She was always happy to see me and my family, and we will miss her. Rest in peace, Dear, Sweet Katherine.
