Muncie - Muncie – Nadine C. Austin, 96, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010.

She was born in Kokomo, November 17, 1913 the daughter of Howard T. and Maude (Mallen) Cring. She moved to Muncie as a child with her parents and graduated from Muncie High School in 1930.

She married Roy Austin January 1931 and they were married 62 years before his death in 1993. They were associated in their business, Motorcraft until his retirement.

Nadine attended the First Church of Christ Scientist and was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star # 104. She was also a member of The Women’s Club of Muncie and the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority.

Survivors include her son, Michael Austin, Huntington Beach, California; two daughters, Kyle Bowden, (husband, Terry), Muncie and Lynn Roberts, Clearwater, Florida; seven grandchildren, Thadeus Bowden, (wife, Michelle), Muncie, Carrie Tackett, (husband, Paul), Noblesville, Bonnie Walker, Golden, Colorado, Scott Austin, (wife, Jennie), Longview, Texas, Craig Austin, Indianapolis, Bruce Rogers, Muncie and Brooke Rogers, Indianapolis; five great-grandchildren, Margaret, Madelyn, Ellen, Micheala and Jerry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy, son, Ronald, brother, Kenneth Cring, and a sister, Helen Walter.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2010 at Beech Grove Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Thursday, June 24, 2010 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. or one hour prior to service time on Friday.
