Charles P. Keller - 87

Muncie - Muncie – Charles P. Keller, 87, went to be with the Lord Sunday afternoon, June 27, 2010, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born April 15, 1923 in Elwood the son of Harry and Anna (Kastler) Keller, graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1938 and Elwood High School in 1940. He served in US Army from 1943 to 1946 during WWII and then served in the US Air Force Reserve as Lieutenant Colonel until his retirement in 1983. He also received his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University in 1950.

Mr. Keller was a finance officer at GMAC (General Motors Acceptance Corporation) for thirty-two years prior to his retirement in 1982.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a life time member of the Elwood Elks.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-five years, Bonnie; three sons, Kevin Keller (wife, Cindy), Yorktown, Jeffery Keller (wife, Kim), Yorktown, and Douglas Keller, Muncie; a daughter, Lori Wood (husband, Jeff), Noblesville; seven grandchildren; a brother, Ray Keller, Deerfield, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Keller; and two sisters, Barbara Keller and Mary Miller.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Andrew Dudzinsky officiating. Inurnment will follow in Elm Ridge Mausoleum.

Friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday.

Memorial may be directed to Cancer Services of Central Indiana (Little Red Door), 401 W. Jackson St., Muncie, IN 47305 or Ball Hospice, 2401 W. University Ave., Muncie, IN 47303.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the doctors and nurses for the excellent care they gave Charles.

Brad Razor - I'm sure Chuck was a great husband, father, and grandfather because He was a great guy to work with at GMAC many years ago. I admired and respected him. He will be missed by all who knew him. God bless!

Virginia Puckett - Bonnie, I was so sad this morning reading about Chuck. He was such a special person. I so want to be with you to hold your hand but I have a doctors appointment during the time of calling. Just know that you are in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers. Sarah Humphrey - Bonnie and Family, So sorry to read of Chuck's passing. Our days together go back to St. Lawrence; quite a few years ago. Now our grandsons are friends. Prayers and Sympathy. Sarah, Dane's grandmother.

Tim vasalakis - Bonnie I just found out today from Ed Okorn of Chucks passing. Im so sorry ,i would have liked to have come to chucks funeral.I never met anyone with any bigger hearts then you and chuck may God bless you and your family thru tese difficult times. Tim Vasalakis
