Muncie - Muncie- Clara M. Greene, 72, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation following a brief illness.

She was born in Muncie January 10, 1938 the daughter of John A. and Martha J. (Crouse) Weisse. Clara graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1955.

Clara was a member of Avondale United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir. She was a member of American Legion Aux. Post # 19 and VFW Aux. and a former member of Avondale Sympathy Club.

Mrs. Greene worked for Chevrolet Plant (New Venture Gear), for 16 years and H&R Block for 18 years. She liked to crochet, can vegetables and work in her vegetable garden.

Survivors include three daughters, Kristi E. Templin, (husband, Gary), Muncie, Donna M. Cummins, (husband, Eddie), Muncie and Martha J. Darnall, (husband, Michael), Newbury Park, California; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a brother, David Eugene Weisse, (wife, Sheryl), Muncie and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald C. Brant; four sisters and two brothers.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Pastor Johnnie Blair Jr. officiating. Cremation will follow.

Family and friends may call Saturday, July 24, 2010 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m.
