Parker City - Parker City—George W. “Bill” Lambert, 84, passed away Wednesday morning, July 21, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 30, 1925 in Muncie, the son of Clifford and Ester (McCamy) Lambert. George attended Muncie schools and worked at Borg Warner for 30 years. He was a member of Warner Gear Sympathy Club and Local # 287. Mr. Lambert was a member of the Indiana National Guard for 18 years.

He is survived by siblings, Robert Lambert, Betty Sewell, Mary Jane Hasting, and Howard Lambert; a special friend, Mary Crouse; and her daughters, Joy and Jerri; and several nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Alice M. Lambert in 1991; his second wife, Susie S. Lambert in 1997; and nine siblings.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Park View Cemetery, Alexandria. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services at the cemetery.

The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
