Linda Little Cricket - Our hearts go out to Mark and all his kith and kin. We remember him well from the Pow Wows and native gatherings where he always had a quick, loving smile and bear hug for all his friends. The day he danced his new born daughter around the arena was the proudest day of his life, and we will remember it always. Any time we attended a Pow Wow, he was one of the first people we looked for, and if he wasn't there, he was greatly missed. He was a caring person who always asked about our lives and when we were expecting our own baby, he was one of the very first people we told. And when he learned that we lost that baby, he was there to share our grief. Walk on, Mark Riley, in peace and with the knowledge that we look forward to joining you on that Red Road in the sky. The Grandfather awaits you with open arms and a loving heart. You will be mourned and missed for a long time to come. To his daughter whom we call Babygirl- your father was a wonderful man and you should be proud. He loved you with all his heart and claimed you as his greatest accomplishment. He said you were the best thing he ever did. Hold him in your heart, and know that I ache for your loss. You can e-mail me any time your heart feels heavy. Be strong in your grief for he is with you always, watching as you become a young lady and an adult. Walk the Red Road with your head held high. You are loved.

Kelly Weems - Dear Peggy, Kenny, Jeff and Shianne, I can't begin to express how sorry I am for your loss! For all of our loss! Mark was truly a wonderful person with such an up beat personality. I actually first met Mark at the flea market in Daleville. He hired my sister to make a pow wow shirt for him and she did. My sister and I talked about how much he looked like my husband, Richard. Ironic how a few years later my husband and I would meet up with the whole Riley family and become, what I would consider to be, such dear friends. Richard and Mark would joke about how they could pass for brothers and everyone would believe them. Our daughter Mariah loved spending time with Shianne. There aren't any words to take away the pain you are feeling from your loss. When my sister died I focused on the fact that she was no longer suffering but was in a much better place, a place we all hope to be one day! Try focusing on that fact and on the knowledge that one day, not to far from now, we will all be together again!!! All my love and prayers go out to you!!!

Vern & Ivonne Grubbs Family - Mark was such a joy to our entire family. He will be missed. Our favorite stories are of times when he was much younger. Mike & Debbie often played with Jeff & Mark while our dads worked on the racecar or dragged us to every track in a 100 miles. We arrived early & stayed late playing hand games with Mark or endlessly having him recite 'fuzzy wuzzy' to amuse us. Later days always brought a smile whne we think of him and will continue to do so. He always hugged us whereever we met. Even in tne middle of Wal-mart. Hope he is talking with "mighty mouse" Alan K & watching the best race ever! Maybe he is even winning!
