Muncie - Muncie – Danny Joe Fisher, 63, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, July 25, 2010, at Ball Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 3, 1947 in Muncie the son of Joseph and Mary Catherine (Kabel) Fisher. He graduated from Southside High School in 1965, received his Bachelor’s Degree from Ball State University in 1969, and served in the US Army Reserve.

Mr. Fisher began his career with Ball Corporation in 1976 until present where he was plant controller for Saint Gobain in Dunkirk. Previously he had been employed with Indiana Gas Company.

He was a member of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church and the National Accounting Association where he was a past president.

Surviving are his parents; his wife of forty years, Jane; two daughters, Renee McCarty (husband, Scott), Westminster, CO and Chanda Schwab (husband, Steve), Coral Springs, FL; three grandchildren, Ian and Marin McCarty, and Sam Schwab, with another granddaughter expected in November; and a brother, Dennis Fisher, Muncie.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010 in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Dr. Gary Ranson Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.

Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday or one hour prior to services on Friday.

Michael Wing and family - I have spent yesterday evening with fond memories of Danny's willingness to be a 'big brother' and take Dennis and I to all those ball games, concerts at Emens and snacks at John's Awful Awful in the Gray Chevy.
