Ruby J. Hess - 100

Muncie - Muncie-Ruby J. Hess, 100, died early Wednesday morning, July 28, 2010, at Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in Flint, attended schools in Flint, and spent her early years in that area.

Mrs. Hess later lived in Hudson, MI for thirty-six years, and came to Muncie twelve years ago to be close to family.

She was a home maker and attended Gethsemane United Methodist Church

Surviving are her daughter, Earlene Jeakle, Muncie; her grandchildren, Glen Jeakle (wife, Loan), and Beryl Munroe, (husband, Stewart); four great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, husband, Cecil Hess, two brothers, and three sisters.

Mrs. Earlene Jeakle would like to thank Waters of Muncie and Ball Memorial Hospital for all the special care given to her mother.

Services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Rev. Vickie Perkins and Rev. Herb Claar officiating. Burial will be later in Pioneer, OH.
